Holidays are just around the corner, so we've put together a collection of handy gift guides. We've included a video, as well as a full list below. Be sure to check out the other collections listed at the bottom as well!

Moleskine Evernote Smart Notebook

A lot of people tend to prefer physical note taking rather than busting out a computer or tablet. That is where the Moleskine Evernote Smart Notebook comes into play. The famous Moleskine notebook has partnered with Evernote to take physical notes and turn them digital.

Students can take notes in the elegant bound notebook, then using the Evernote app, can use their camera on their phone/tablet to digitize them.

PowerBeats 2 Bluetooth Headphones

Headphones are a necessity in college. Whether it is for working out at the gym, or for some relaxing music while spending the night in the library, you need a good pair of headphones. Today, bluetooth has gotten to the point where it no longer drains your battery, and headphones can last for a significant amount of time without a charge.

While a bit more on the pricey side, the PowerBeats not only have the Beats brand that is ubiquitous these days, but they are actually a very solid pair of bluetooth headphones that are great for at the gym, home, or anywhere in between. That and a full array of new colors make these a tempting option.

They are even updatable via firmware to make sure they are always on their game. Instead of the $200 price point, you can also pick up a great pair of refurbished that come with a full warranty, for 35% off the original price.

iPad Air 2

There was a lot of debate on whether to include this on the list, but when I was in college a few years ago, my iPad was something I couldn't live without. The iPad Air 2 has built solidly on that foundation and is probably the college tool I most recommend, even if it is pricey. There are other tablet options, which are still very good, but there are some benefits using an iPad.

The iPad is what I most used in and out of class. I had digital textbooks which I could always carry around, not needing to constantly overfill a book bag. I had my music which I could listen to on headphones or a bluetooth speaker. I took notes in Evernote so they were searchable, taggable, and organized. I even watched Netflix in the halls while waiting for class to start.

I rarely took a laptop to class and paired with a killer keyboard, this is the ultimate tool for students. The app store is also full of beneficial apps I like iStudy Pro or iTunes U. Most colleges even have iPad apps to view grades and schedules.

Brydge or Logitech Keyboard for iPad

If a student really wants to get the most from their iPad, they need a good keyboard. The two best options out there are the Logitech Slim and the Brydge Air. The Brydge Air is definitely the better of the two, coming in anodized aluminum to match the finish of the iPads, backlit keys, built in speaker, and handy clips to keep the iPad in place.

However, the Logitech is no slouch, and is 50 dollars less. Neither option is a bad option.

UE Boom Bluetooth Speaker

Headphones are always good for personal use, but whenever you are with friends, either outdoors or in the dorm, you need a good bluetooth speaker. The UE Boom 2 is the newest version of the top rated speaker. Topping all the charts to become the undisputed king of the sub $200 speaker market, you can't go wrong.

Mophie Powerstation Backup Battery

This is another essential for the student. Phone batteries make it throughout a day, but not much more. Especially with heavy use. Unless you want to get caught in class, in the library, or out on the weekend without a charge, you need a backup battery to get you through the night.

Mophie has long been making battery packs and cases and has a wide range of sizes that will work with most any phone or tablet.

Tile Bluetooth Tracker

College can be chaotic. You are all over the place between different classes, dorms, roommates, it is hard to keep track of all your gear. Luckily bluetooth trackers have been on the market for a while and make it a whole hell of a lot easier.

Stick a tile on your keys, your bag, your camera, and you will get notified if you leave it, or where it was last seen, or even use it to find your phone.

WD Portable Hard Drive

College is a time where you are taking countless photos, watching movies on your computer, and writing lots and lots of papers. All that you would highly prefer not to lose. Backup hard drives are essential not only for piece of mind that you are safe if your computer dies, but to move some of those extra movies and photos off your main disk so you have space for your latest term paper.
