If you have ever looked for a car mount for your smartphone on Amazon, one item tends to always be on the top of the list. That would be iOttie's Easy One Touch 2. Now the next generation is being released with a much improved design.

This is an independent review. NOT a paid endorsement

Specifically, the look has been scaled back to look a little sleeker. The foot holder is now two pronged and moves in every which way. And the biggest change, the trigger to clench the phone is now vastly increased in surface area.

I got to play with the Easy One Touch 3 before release to test it out and I found it very reliable. It never came dislodged from where I mounted it, however there is still some noticeable shaking, especially when you have the arm all the way extended.

Its dead simple to attach your phone, which basically reminds me of a mousetrap. The phone goes in and SNAP. It is a big jarring how loud it is but I soon overlooked the issue once I was used to it. Im torn whether I like the simplicity of a magnetic car mount or the robustness of the iOttie. For me it comes down to the fact that the magnetic one will still on occasion drop my phone, where as I know the iOttie Easy One Touch won't.
